No New Retail GTA In 2009

Last week, we reported on Game Informer Magazine’s rumor of a new, full-length retail GTA game coming later this year. The game, allegedly intended to be the “Vice City” of the new “GTA IV” series, was rumored to possibly take place in Tokyo, or a Rockstar version of Tokyo. In a conversation with Kotaku, a representative from Rockstar stated that while a second DLC package, following up February’s The Lost and Damned, would arrive sometime before Halloween, no retail GTA game is planned for this year. The rep said there is “no truth” to the rumors, and that the Tokyo location is pure speculation.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, since Rockstar has made it clear that they intend to take full advantage of this generation’s DLC capabilities. Expect at least a few downloadable packs before we get our hands on Grand Theft Auto: Capital City or whatever they come up with next.

well, they ought to make an asain version anyway, if they haven't already. I don't keep up with the GTA series, those games are teh SUX! XD
Sad.
There are jokes I can make. I wont.
If you believed they would actually release another full-length game this year then you must have rocks for brains. When would they have the time? They are way too busy working on the DLC content.
They need to bring back the parachute and/or the jet pack.
Nope, they don't.
I could be down for the jetpack.
Also, "rocks for brains"? Did OneWhiteGamerDude just turn into my grandfather?
@Sean - lol
