It looks like DC Universe Online isn’t the only multi-character DC title in development.  An anonymous tipster sent a batch of never-before-seen images of what looks to be a Justice League of America video game, most likely a tie-in to the much-maligned live action JLA movie.

The images come from the online portfolio of a former Shiny Entertainment artist.  Shiny has never been linked to a JLA game before, but they are developing the game tie-in to the Green Lantern movie.  While many of the images are a bit generic, there’s no doubt that these are in the DC universe.  In addition to the clear Wonder Woman and Batman symbols in the interior of “Club Krypto Night,” a close look reveals tiny representations of the Flash and Wonder Woman in a few of the images.  The underwater scenes are presumably connected to Aquaman, while other pics show Themyscira, home of Wonder Woman and the Amazons, and Metropolis.

The Justice League movie, possibly subtitled “Mortal,” has been in development hell for years now, but still shows signs of life.  Director George Miller (Mad Max, Lorenzo’s Oil, Babe) is still allegedly attached to the film, and it’s been reported that Warner Bros. has worked out all the licensing deals pertaining to the property.  With a Green Lantern movie coming next year, and a Hawkman film rumored to come next, it’s looking more and more likely that we’ll actually get to see this movie.  If it happens, there will almost certainly be a video game tie-in, and it’s entirely possible that these images are early environmental assets.  It’s also possible that a completely separate JLA game is being produced, or that these are unused assets from DC Universe Online.  We’ll let you know when we find out more.
