With fan-favorite characters like Deadpool, Arthur, Frank West, and Viewtiful Joe, as well as big-time stars like Ryu, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Dante, the roster for next year’s ridiculously anticipated fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, is already shaping up to be a fan-service dream.  An image from Capcom’s Halloween party may have revealed yet another fighter, and yet again, it’s someone that fans have been begging to play as for years; Mike Haggar.

Mike Haggar’s image clearly appears on the monitor of a Capcom employee, in front of a background that appears to be the Servbot stage from MVC3.  The co-star of Capcom’s Final Fight series and mayor of the fictional Metro City, Haggar is a world-class wrestler, an All-American tough guy, and the owner of one bad-ass mustache.  While he mainly appears in the Final Fight series, he has also shown up as a playable character in Saturday Night Slam Masters, and appeared in cameos in several Capcom crossover games.  He has not appeared, in any capacity, in the Vs. series.

A massive grappler who favors power over speed, Mike Haggar fits well in the game’s lineup.  So far, there’s a lack of muscle-bound power fighters, and with Zangief almost certainly not making the cut, Capcom’s side is especially low on hulking beasts.
