Bulletstorm is an upcoming first-person shooter with a futuristic sci-fi seting, and a focus on creativity in dispatching enemies.  Why, then, did they send me a voodoo nutcracker?

Okay, I understand the dual meaning of the "Nutcracker" part of it; we normally associate nutcrackers with Christmas time, and one of the kill moves in Bulletstorm will be called a "Nutcracker," so that makes sense.  But why does he look like a voodoo houngan? 

There doesn't seem to be any voodoo influence on the game, nor does it take place on the bayou.  It's in space, where, presumably, voodoo practitioners would be difficult to find.  So why does it look like Papa Shango designed it?  Any guesses are welcome, because I'm stumped.
