Characters in games generally become famous because the fans can relate to them.  What does that say, then, about the fans of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic?  What sort of person would most easily relate to a heartless, murdering mechanical being like HK-47?  Pretty much everyone who played the game, apparently, because he’s easily the most beloved character from the Old Republic era of the Star Wars saga.  Well, you bunch of unbalanced, possibly sociopathic misanthropes should be happy to know that your favorite meatbag-hating assassin droid will make an appearance in LucasArts’ upcoming MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.  He won’t be the only old friend returning, either.

The new trailer gives us a smattering of gameplay footage, a nice look at the dialog system, and plenty of story-related content revealing a mission to Darth Revan’s old complex.  For the uninitiated, Revan was a Sith lord who lost his memories and turned out to be (seven-year old SPOILERS!) the main character of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.  This is all well and good, but the goosebumps moment comes at the very end of the video, after the game’s logo appears.  That’s where our favorite maniacal death machine pops up, informing us lowly organic life forms to shut our respective gobs.  We should probably listen to him; he's got a blaster, and you don't.
