Street Fighter Movie Casting News
They’re Seriously Making Another Street Fighter Movie?
Because we apparently demanded it, Hyde Park Entertainment is bringing us a live-action Street Fighter movie, entitled “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li”. The role of Chun Li was filled last month by Smallville star and undeniable cutie-pie Kristin Kreuk, and today we get news of several additions to the cast.
Among the casting we consider fitting; Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog (or M. Bison to our Japanese audiences), and Chris Klein as Guile’s friend Nash (who is known as Charlie in the States). In the opposite category, we find 37-year old Rick Yun, of The Fast and the Furious 2 fame, playing 87-year old master assassin, Gen. Okay. Whatever. In addition, Cheng Pei Pei (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Edmund Chen (Saigon Eclipse), Moon Bloodgood (Pathfinder) and Taboo (The Black Eyed F^#*ing Peas) are confirmed as cast members. It’s unknown who they will play, but Taboo as Dee Jay, Edmund Chen as Ryu and Moon Bloodgood as Cammie sound like safe bets. Here’s the cast so far.

Honestly, does anyone out there believe this movie will be anything short of a train wreck? The original movie was pure crap, despite the presence of Ming-Na Wen and Raul Julia. Does anyone think this one will fare any better? Please let me know!
