Super Street Fighter IV Box Art Revealed

Sonic BOOOOO!

by Veggie Jackson

Just yesterday, Capcom gave gamers a release date for Super Street Fighter IV, and, as expected, people were fine with the April 27 date.  Today, they’ve released the box art for both the US and European versions of Super Street Fighter IV for the Xbox 360.  I have a feeling that people will be less happy about this one.

Each version gives us six characters from the game, with Ryu, ChunLi, Adon, and Juri appearing on both.  The European version’s cover is plenty dynamic, but it comes off a little bland and  uninspired.  The American version, on the other hand, is officially a hot mess.  It’s extremely inconsistent, with Ryu and Chun-Li looking decent, and Dee-Jay and Juri looking like my 8-year-old nephew traced them.  And I don’t even have a nephew!!!  For some reason, the stunning watercolor look of the actual game is translated on the cover as extremely sloppy cross-hatching, and it just plain looks like crap.  Furthermore, it doesn’t reveal any of the few characters left to be named, so this is like a disappointment sundae with extra boring sauce.  Weak.  I’ll be making my own SSFIV cover, it will be awesome, and it will look like this;

    I was all set to buy this, regardless of the box art.

    Also, that kids nipples make me think he's nursing a newborn.
