The Behemoth Discusses Next Project

As developers go, The Behemoth is pretty cool. They have a certain aesthetic and style that no other game maker can duplicate, and they make pretty tight 2D action platformers as well. After the relative success of Alien Hominid and the breakout success of Castle Crashers, what can the indie programmers do to top themselves? That’s the question we’ve all been asking, and today, The Behemoth announced just what that will be.
The Behemoth’s next project will be….a video game of some sort!
Yeah, that’s all we really know right now, but at least we have confirmation that they are working (presumably hard) on something. Dan Paladin, chief high muckity-muck at The Behemoth, announced the vague project in his blog yesterday.
- We’ve been prototyping a new title. A new game, YES!! Sorry, I can’t tell you what it is yet! I can tell you though that we are off to a very strong & solid start. The game has proven to be a lot of fun for the people that we’ve shown! Perhaps we can start posting imagery later on and begin a guessing game about the game. It’s like two games in one! Maybe we’ll just flat out tell you, though, and ruin the guessing game.
You can talk about the new title on our forums at http://forums.thebehemoth.com
Based on The Behemoth's track record, I'm guessing it will be an epic, 150 hour roguelike rpg/dolphin adoption simulator exclusive to the Wonderswan. But that's just me. Any guesses from you guys?
