At the VGA’s, publishers put their best feet forward, releasing high-quality trailers for AA titles.  Sega offered their Thor trailer during the awards ceremony, and while it may have excited longtime fans of the Norse Thunder God, it just didn’t stack up to the other videos we were shown.

Amidst the gorgeous trailers for games like Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, and SSX Deadly Descent, Thor’s trailer seemed low-quality.  While the other videos featured polished, pre-rendered scenes and cinematic presentation, Thor’s just looks like slightly washed out superhero movie tie-in.  That’s probably because it IS a superhero movie tie-in, but I was hoping for something that looked at least as good as 2009’s surprisingly well-made Wolverine game.  Instead, we could be looking at an unpolished God of War clone with a hammer and a cape.  I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
