Tomb Raider Will Have Multiplayer
Revelatory Job Listings for 2011 Reboot

Gamasutra is currently showing a few listings for job openings on the next Tomb Raider. Most of them are unremarkable, listing openings for expected positions like technical producer, senior level designer, and executive breast shaper, but two listed positions are a bit eye-raising, and indicate that the next Tomb Raider will have a multiplayer element.
Listings for Multiplayer Producer and Senior Multiplayer Game Designer appear alongside the rest, strongly hinting at either co-op or head-to-head play. This year’s downloadable title, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, featured multiplayer options, but this would mark the first retail release of a Tomb Raider title to include multiplayer options.
I’m intrigued as to how Crystal Dynamics plans to implement multiplayer functionality into a Tomb Raider game. Co-op puzzle solving and action-platforming sounds fun, but an Uncharted 2-like multiplayer experience could be epic. Deathmatches in Uncharted 2 were a blast, and the addition of Lara’s particular brand of athleticism and acrobatic abilities would make gameplay slightly faster-paced. Plus, she’s waaaaay hotter than Nathan Drake.

"Plus, she’s waaaaay hotter than Nathan Drake."
SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. I'd rather have Nathan Drake discover my "uncharted" areas than raid some British chicks tomb.
