Konami has detailed the two upcoming DLC packs for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow in a press release today.  The two packs will be titled “Reverie” and “Resurrection,” and are expected to launch early next year.

“Reverie” will bring players back to the Castle as they guide Gabriel in a quest to help Laura, the former servant of the vampire Queen Camilla, to destroy an ancient evil that was unleashed with the vampire Queen’s death.  “Resurrection” takes place after the events of the game’s campaign, and offers some insight into Gabriel’s “ultimate destiny.”  “Resurrection” will be larger in scale than “Reverie,” and features “a final showdown with a very notorious enemy.”  My guess; Darth Vader.

Both DLC packs will feature all new areas, monsters, and story lines.  Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was a damn good game, and anything that extends its playtime is a good thing.  We’ll let you know when pricing and release date details are announced.
