User-Created Content Coming to Braid
Jonathan Blow Confirms

Did you ever play Braid? Did you ever play Braid and think “Boy, this game needs to be more baffling,” or “Boy, this game needs some pictures of my niece in it.”? Well ask and ye shall receive.
A recent thread on Steam’s message boards asked about a hidden map editor contained within the PC version of Jonathan Blow’s award-winning indie game. After a few speculative posts by people who aren’t the game’s creator, Jonathan chimed in with a direct answer;
“Yeah, after I get a new version out in a few days that fixes the problems some people are having, and when more people have played/finished the game, I am going to post some documentation for the editor. The way it works is you can make levels with the editor (up to a full game, potentially) and run that with -universe later... also a tool will be released that lets you take Photoshop files and import them into the game, if you want to put new graphics in your levels.”
While this news is sure to make many creative gamers happy, I’m worried that user-created content could dilute or even destroy the magic of Braid. On one hand, the idea of creating our own mind-boggling levels in such a great game is exciting and full of promise. On the other hand, how many times will we be able to run through levels full of dicks and boobs before we tire of the game as a whole?

These usually don't end well.
I can see the endless vulgar and poorly made maps in my head, but as a designer and illustrator myself, I'd love to try my hand at creating some vibrant graphics and importing them into Braid.
I really hope it does well, at least they made it available on Steam. If it appeals to any of the HL2 or TF2 modders out there, tons of great content will be cranking out of users. Unfortunately if it doesn't , well, lets not even talk about some of the crap that comes out of the LBP community. I'm really looking forward to this, I just hope the right people are the one's creating the content. If they release a proper SDK than possibly multiplayer? For intance Synergy for HL2, that would make it worth buying and trying out user created content for sure.
