Xbox Live Update Preview Open
Like a Beta, But Without an Actual Game

Remember that select group of people we talked about who would get an early look at the Xbox 360’s new look and features? Well, your chance to be part of that group has come, and all you have to do is fill out a survey and get a little lucky.
As they did for the beta of their “New Xbox Experience,” Microsoft will allow thousands of users to preview the new features, which will include the new Avatar Marketplace, Xbox Live Movie Parties, the ability to update your Netflix queue directly from your 360, and full downloadable Xbox 360 games through the Games on Demand feature. As of yet, we haven’t heard whether or not the other planned updates, like Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM compatibility, will be included, but honestly, who wants to tweet, update their status or listen to the radio on their Xbox 360 instead of playing games on it?
All you have to do is head over to the Microsoft Connect site, sign in, and fill out a survey, and you're entered. Both gold and silver Xbox Live members are eligible, but gold members will get preferential treatment. So that's what my $50 a year buys me. Got it.

Your $50 dollars a year also buys you some sweet dashboard commercials too.
