Yet Another European 360 Price Drop
Second One In Six Months
Starting Friday, September 19, European gamers will be getting yet another price break from Microsoft. Back in March, the console saw a significant price drop across all versions, with the Arcade model falling from €279 to €199, the Pro from €339 to €299, and the Elite from €399 to €369. This week, the savings get even better. The Arcade will now sell for €179 (approx. $252 American), Pro for €239 ($338) and Elite for €299 ($422).
So, will a 30% price cut in just over half a year make Europeans switch over from their beloved Wiis and PS3s to the evil Americans’ platform? Microsoft is certainly hoping so, and if their claims of US sales doubling after price cuts here are true, then the 360 could see a huge spike. Add in the upcoming release of FIFA and Pro Evo Soccer Football, and Mi€rosoft could be primed to dominate the European holiday season. They do have holidays over there, right?
