L-Block Wins Gamefaqs Popularity Contest
Take -THAT-, established franchise icons!
In an odd twist of fate, the L shaped block from Tetris has won the Gamefaqs popularity contest this year.
Gamefaqs has had an annual contest complete with prizes and bracket entries involving character popularity contests of basic characters, villains eclusively, etc for the past several years. This year's oddity was the vast number of entrants, double the characters from previous years.
Victory for years has been exclusive to Link, Cloud, and other Final Fantasy icons, but this year in L-Block's freshman entrance, it has taken first place. Who knew?
Every member of the Top 50 had chosen Link to win, L-block winning represents a correct entry for less than half a percent of entrants.

I still would have voted for the M piece...
The other entrants are L-osers! ha! oooooooooooh I'm so ashamed of myself for that comment
That's terrible, Jozzy.
My vote would be T block. I have always loved ye.
L-ink wins every year. glad to see that the mighty have fallen.
You have to respect mother Tetris...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but L-Block's victory was due largely in part to a surge of /b/tards purposely trying to throw the competition.
