So what you all thought i did this past weekend i have finally done, I have purchased an Xbox 360. I really did not have any plans to buy one at this time but a friend of mine was selling one for OMG cheap, though it is an older version, so i had to jump on it. I won't actually get the console till this Friday but i already have my gamefly Q updated with 5 Xbox 360 games.

I will also be borrowing the following from a friend

Gears of War 2

Now I know many thought this day would never come, especially some of my PS3 friends but when a deal comes along that you CANNOT pass up, you have to take it. Though to try and keep my Sony street cred I have made a firm decision not to buy any 360 games, only rent and as of right now i have no plans to purchase an Xbox Live Gold Membership unless i can justify needing it. So, anyone else have any good suggestions as far as games goes that I must try out on the 360? Also look for my 360 gamertag this weekend on my profile, it will most likely be Lifewish or VoyouSan, whichever is free.

P.S. The deal, for anyone that is interested, is 75 bucks for a 20GB Xbox 360.

actually sarah i plan to rent all three you have mentioned, star ocean, odyssey and blue dragon. The first one i am getting though is Vesperia, i love my tales games.

Oh yeah, and just remember what I said about Star Ocean... it starts out extremely meh, and gets much better. You'll have to stick with it for more than a few hours to really get a feel for the game. Overall it's pretty good, but I still like Lost Odyssey better.

I can't rag on you too much Voyou... 75 bones for a system with a hard drive is pretty sweet. I sure I would buy a PS3 in a heartbeat if one was offered to me at such a price. Although you should skip Infinite Undiscovery... any game that tells you to run away from a fight is no good in my book. I will also second Mass Effect and if you can find a copy of Earth Defence Force try that out.

Voyou, pick up Mass Effect, it's one of my top ten. You should feel right at home with it's Action RPG gameplay.

some free advice you didn't ask for: out of those five games on your gamefly Q, put Lost Odyssey at the top. Just my personal opinion. I would also recommend Blue Dragon, since I know you love JRPGs (as do I!).

yea Shag i realize that L4D will not be much without a gold, but i will def. look into the free month and if that is the case i would def. be down for some online L4D.

as far as the rest of you, i don't see the big deal, its not like i am a huge Sony fanboy or anything ;)

Why not start with GoW1? Mass Effect? Wow that is an awesome deal. Look for deals on Gold membership. Playing L4D with a silver isn't going to give you a fair assessment on the game.

Not sure if it's been all used up, but the first 4? accounts created on a 360 get a month of gold for free. Let me know if you're up for L4D. Always trying to find people to play that game with.
